Jessica Deeprose
Degree in Early Years and Education Studies, University of Leeds,UK.
CELTA (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages)
My name is Jessica Deeprose and I am originally from Chester, United Kingdom. I attended the University of Leeds in the UK and, after gaining my Degree in Early Years and Education Studies, I decided to move to Barcelona, Spain, to experience a different culture and style of teaching. Here, I completed an intense CELTA course which further fuelled my passion for teaching. Shortly afterwards, I started working with ESL students at a private international school which helped to develop my skills in language teaching.

After a couple of years in Barcelona I decided to travel further afield to Singapore and started working at Lorna Whiston Schools. Having never visited Asia before, I thought it would be a great place to start. I was also attracted to Singapore because of its remarkable reputation for education. Indeed, the quality of the teaching here is outstanding and I really wanted to be a part of it. Although I love living and working in Singapore, I am still trying to adjust to the heat and spicy food!

I have also worked with Early Years children in other educational settings including a hospital where I worked as a play therapist, a Special Educational Needs school, nurseries and playgroups. I find children very engaging and love to inspire, help them to discover new things, aid their development and ensure they reach their full potential by creating lessons and activities that cater for their individual needs.
