My name is Nick Richards and I come from the rural town of Durham in Northeast England. I have a keen interest in stories from the past, which led me to study History at the University of Manchester. After I graduated I spent some time in the financial sector before deciding to become a primary school teacher. I completed my Primary PGCE at the University of Manchester and went on to teach mainly in Key Stage 1 at two schools in the East of England, where I met my partner. I have been teaching a broad range of subjects including English, Maths, Science and History.

For the past two years my partner and I had been living in Bali, Indonesia. There we had worked at an English language school, teaching students of a wide range of ages. We had an exciting yet challenging time adapting to a vastly different culture and lifestyle. Moving to Singapore has been very exciting, with its melting pot of ethnicities and religions. We are also very happy to be employed by Lorna Whiston Schools.
