My name is Sophie Daly and I come to Singapore from Swansea, South Wales. After attending university in Bath, England, I then qualified as a secondary school teacher in the UK, completing a PGCE, specialising in Religious Studies.

Upon completing this I gained experience within Social Services, working closely with younger, disadvantaged children in foster care. This experience along with the skills I developed, taught me that I would actually be best placed within a younger learners' classroom.

To further extend myself, I completed a CELTA course, which broadened my knowledge of English language teaching, I gained experience of the enrichment system here in Singapore and immersed myself in the city and culture, I love everything Singapore has to offer, especially the food, although I do wish I loved to cook as much as I love to eat. I feel very grateful for this experience and have visited so many other interesting places lately that my 'wish list' just keeps on growing!

I've always been an avid reader and hope to instill this love for books within my students this year, as I find this to be the key to mastering a language.

Above all, I feel I have a natural affinity with children and they respond well to my caring and friendly nature. I'm an energetic and enthusiastic teacher, who easily makes learning a positive experience for my students. I look forward to teaching your child and building positive relationships together this year.
