My name is Tracie Murkin and I grew up in a beautiful village in Suffolk, nestled in the East of England countryside. My passion for literature lead me to study English at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge. After graduating, I completed a Key Stage 2 3 PGCE, with a specialty in English, at the University of Cambridge. I then began teaching English in a Middle School to a range of ages and abilities and later made the transition to Primary School, teaching Years 4 and 5 a wide range of subjects.

Our love of travel inspired my partner and I to teach English abroad, and for the last two years, we have been teaching students from three years old to adults at an English language school in Bali, Indonesia. Living and working on a tropical island has been such an enriching experience. Immersing ourselves in a culture so different from the UK has been remarkable; however, it has not been without its challenges and we are enjoying the conveniences that living in a modern city like Singapore has to offer! With its blend of cultures, green values and mix of old and new, we are very happy making Singapore our new home.
