Our Academic LEgacy

As a young teacher, Ms. Lorna Whiston taught in the UK before coming to Singapore in the 1960s, where she gained much recognition for her work in the British Armed Forces and international schools. In 1980, she opened the first Lorna Whiston school with the aim of improving the local standard of English.

Since then, Lorna Whiston Schools have enriched students with a strong academic foundation in both written and spoken English. while empowering them with confidence through the skills and values that they need to be successful individuals in the 21st Century.
Our Programmes
Founded on Ms Whiston’s belief that teachers are the most important part of a good school, Lorna Whiston Schools have since built a distinct reputation of excellence, and an alumni of over 75,000 students proud to be part of its heritage.

40 years on, we hold true to those same beliefs.
